If I try again, software attempts to run butb no errors reported onscreen and doesn't fully load. However, Encartas death was a long time coming and had been brought about in 2003, by the emergence of Wikipedia.
Windows will go off to check for a solution but does't return any solutions and closes program. Encarta blinked out of existence in 2009, after a relatively lengthy run of 16 years. Sometimes I get a message onscreen Microsoft Encarta has stopped working with an offer to Check online for a solutionj and close the program or Close the Program. Someone here may be in a position to throw some light on the above. I have used adding read/write permissions many times for running software on XP Pc's in the school domain.
